Put on your boots or a pair of snowshoes and see where a path takes you. Ely’s Peak via the Superior Hiking Trail is one of our staff favorites!

A few more of our recommendations:

Easy going:
Congdon Park
Enger Park
Park Point

Moderate trails:

A couple pro tips:

  1. If you’re heading out in boots on a slick day, pick up some YakTrax to stop from sliding and potential falls!
  2. You can also find more trail info at NorthShoreVisitor.com. The site is a great winter hike resource for your planning purposes.

Fat Tire Biking

The trails don’t need to be clear of snow for biking around here! Some of the best fat tire bike rides are done in the middle of winter with the help of the Duluth Traverse – offering a variety of main trails for the biking enthusiast.
